Weather Watch: Bestival 2012
Suncream at the ready for Bestival this weekend
Chris Eustace - 04 September 2012
It’ll be a chilly but sunny start to Thursday for the Bestival earlycomers, and while things will turn increasingly cloudy from the afternoon onwards, there’ll still be prolonged bright spells, with temperatures peaking at 19C, as the likes of Hot Chip, Gary Numan and Alabama Shakes kick things off.
Things will hot up on Friday, with highs of 22C and a day of virtually unbroken sunshine in prospect, with things staying warm even after the sun goes down as Florence & The Machine headline.
Saturday will see almost identical weather with a warm day full of sunshine, with temperatures once again reaching 22C, and staying comfortable even after New Order close out the Main Stage, with night temperatures of around 15C.
Be prepared for a sweltering Sunday – the Bestival site will be basking in sunshine all day again, but the temperatures are set to peak at 27C before Stevie Wonder rounds things off in style.
