Making a confident start with 'Dub On The Track', despite a thin crowd, the singer quipped: "I know some
of you think I'm a bitch, but I'm alright really."
Security moved in during 'Superhero' as bottles
and plastic glasses were thrown towards the stage and Cher Lloyd, some full of what looked like urine, as a small section
of the Essex audience booed her. Briefly leaving the stage, Lloyd looked upset but returned to continue her set.
When she came back, she told the crowd at Hylands Park: "It's hard enough being up here, but it's not nice having bottles
of p**s chucked at you."
She battled through 'With Ur Love', but looked distracted and upset, staying static on stage and tearfully finished,
telling the crowd: "That's the last one we're going to do today."
As she left the stage her backing band
seemed confused, looking at each other before following her offstage. The fans that remained chanted for her return but that
was her final song of the set.
The 19-year-old singer and X Factor finalist was amongst hundreds of pop acts playing the V Festival event in Hylands Park this weekend.
The singer's performance on The Arena Stage followed a set from Wiley and was to be followed by The Human League at V Festival 2012 at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex.
