Chris Eustace - 09 August 2012

There might be a light to medium breeze – which will at least help Newquay’s surfers, if no-one else, Relentless Boardmasters 2012 will bathed in sunshine all day on Friday, with temperatures reaching 23°C, and things will stay clear and warm for Ed Sheeran’s headlining set.

Dizzee fans beware though – while Saturday will start well, with early sunshine and highs of 21°C, it’s likely to become overcast towards the evening with a risk of showers as night falls.

Thursday earlycomers to Bloodstock Open Air 2012 will be greeted by sunshine into the evening and a dry night. Friday will see another fine day, with the odd cloudy spell around lunchtime clearing by late afternoon to leave a warm and clear evening for Behemoth’s headlining set. Temperatures will reach 23°C.

Saturday will be slightly cooler, with a high of 21°C, and there will be more cloudy intervals, but there’ll still be plenty of sunshine as well. However, things will become unsettled towards nightfall, with a risk of showers interspersed with brighter weather, though things should calm again in the evening in time for Alice Cooper to close the festival.

Anyone heading to Boomtown Fair 2012 will be able to enjoy a dry start to the festival, with warm evening sunshine promised for Thursday. Some Friday morning mist will lift for another warm and sunny day, with the odd patch of mid-afternoon cloud, and temperatures of around 24°C.

Saturday will be much the same, but while Sunday will have a bright start, there’s a strong likelihood of showers towards lunchtime, though these will ease off by late afternoon to make way for sunny spells and highs of 23°C.

Wilderness 2012 will begin in Oxfordshire amid bright sunshine and light winds, which will continue into Friday morning. While some of the afternoon may be overcast, there’ll still be a good deal of sun, with temperatures peaking at 22°C. This will continue into Saturday, with lengthy sunny spells in the morning and evening, but much of the afternoon may be cloudy and breezy, although it’s likely to remain warm at around 21°C.

Sunshine interspersed with showers is likely to be the order of the day on Sunday, with a risk of some heavy rain in the early evening although it should clear later.

Fans heading to Hyde Park on Sunday for the BT London Live Closing Ceremony Concert with Blur, New Order, The Specials and Bombay Bicycle Club will have a warm but changeable day weather-wise, with a cloudy start giving way to sunny spells, but also a good chance of showers in the late afternoon, before a dry, mostly bright evening.
