Metallica to headline Soundwave Festival 2013
Blink-182 and Linkin Park also on board for massive Australian touring festival

Blink-182 and Linkin Park are the other heavyweights in a mammoth line-up for the annual touring festival, which will visit five Australian cities in February and March next year.
A Perfect Circle, Paramore, The Offspring, Garbage, Sum 41, Stone Sour, Anthrax, Kyuss Lives!, Tomahawk, Flogging Molly, All Time Low, Dragonforce and Duff McKagan’s Loaded are among other acts on the bill for next year.

Brisbane, 23 February 2013, RNA Showgrounds
Sydney, 24 February 2013, Olympic Park
Melbourne, 1 March 2013, Melbourne Showgrounds
Adelaide, 2 March 2013, Bonython Park
Perth, 4 March 2013, Claremont Showgrounds
Soundwave Festival tickets are priced from $187 (including fees) and go on sale on Thursday 23 August.

A pre-sale will be held on Thursday 16 August, which can be accessed by signing up to the festival’s mailing list on the Soundwave website.
Blink-182 were originally set to play with a replacement drummer, due to Travis Barker's fear of flying after he survived a 2008 plane crash which claimed the lives of four people, but it has since been confirmed that Barker will be performing with the band at the festivals.
