Those heading down to Derbyshire for Y-Not Festival (which sold out today, congratulations!) should be greeted with dry ground after a clear night tonight,, but not before those with early entry tickets today have endured scattered showers, albeit with sunny spells.
Unfortunately a bright start to Friday will soon cloud over, with showers expected from lunchtime, turning heavy and thundery towards the evening, continuing into The View’s headline set.
It’ll be humid all weekend, with temperatures peaking at 17-19C, but while there will be some warm sunshine on Saturday, it will be interspersed with more heavy, thundery showers, which will be prolonged at times. Things should, however, calm down before The Wombats top the bill, with the night likely to remain dry.
A cloudy beginning to Sunday will turn into an early morning thunderstorm, before a similar weather pattern to Saturday takes hold, with sunny spells and heavy showers expected all day until things dry out in the late evening.
Standon Calling in Hertfordshire, where the likes of Death In Vegas, Beardyman, Fat Freddy's Drop and King Charles will play this weekend, will have a dry start, although things will cloud over, leading to some Friday lunchtime showers. These should be gone by late afternoon, with the site set to enjoy some evening sunshine and temperatures reaching 20C.
By Saturday morning the sun will be mixed with some heavy, thundery showers at times, with an early evening respite before some further, lighter rain, though the night should be cloudy but dry.
Sunday will bring much of the same, with bright spells and showers, which will be at their most severe in the early evening with some light winds, and a warm, rain-free night once again.
