Extra tickets for Reading Festival 2012 on sale now

3,000 extra Weekend tickets on sale as capacity increases

Organisers say the festival was on the verge of selling out this weekend, but 3,000 extra Weekend tickets have now been put on sale, following Reading Borough Council’s decision to allow the festival’s capacity to increase to 89,999.

Reading Festival 2012 is still expected to sell out ahead of time, and these will be the final tickets available from official outlets.

As previously reported, The Cure, Kasabian and Foo Fighters will headline Reading and sister event Leeds when the dual festivals return this August bank holiday.

Weekend tickets for both Reading and its sister site Leeds are still available, as are Friday and Saturday tickets for Reading and all three days for Leeds.

Sunday day tickets for Reading Festival are sold out.

Reading Festival 2012 takes place in Richfield Avenue, Reading on 24-26 August.

Leeds Festival 2012 takes place in Bramham Park, Wetherby, Leeds from 24-26 August

Reading 2012 tickets and Leeds 2012 tickets are priced as follows:

£197.50 + £8 booking fee = £205.50 Weekend camping

£85 + £7 booking fee = £92 Day tickets

£15 early entry
