BBC Introducing Stage for Reading & Leeds 2012 announced

Now in its fifth year at both sites, the stage showcases new talent, with the likes of Florence & The Machine, Two Door Cinema Club, Everything Everything, Pulled Apart By Horses, Rizzle Kicks and Spector having appeared on it in the past.

Attention Thieves, Backyards, Bearfoot Beware, Black Moth, Crooked Tongues, Cut Ribbons, Danica Hunter, Deaf Club, Dear Prudence, Dingus Khan, Empror & Duppy Beatz, Escape To New York, Escapists and The Establishment are all on the bill for this year.

Family Of The Year, Glassbody, Hawk Eyes, HildaMay, Ifan Dafydd, Lady Lykez, Marmozets, Marsicans, Max Raptor, VF One To Watch 2012 Mikill Pane, Park Bench Society and Proxies will all play too.

Rachel Sermanni, Rio, Samoans, Sarah Williams White, Seasfire, Vengeance and the Panther Queen, Wet Nuns, We Walk On Ice and We Were Frontiers complete this year’s Introducing Stage line-up.

Post War Glamour Girls, winners of the Futuresound competition, will be opening the NME/Radio1 Stage on Saturday at Reading and Sunday at Leeds, while Funeral Suits have been announced for the Festival Republic Stage, and Adam Hills is new for the Comedy line-up.

Transgressive will once again curate, DJ and host the Alternative Stage late-night entertainment at Leeds, with the line-up on Saturday and Sunday 26th August featuring AlunaGeorge, Disclosure, Gaggle DJs, Ghostpoet, Olugbenga (Metronomy DJ Set), Outfit, Summer Camp and Theme Park.

As previously reported, The Cure, Kasabian and Foo Fighters will headline the twin events this August bank holiday.

Weekend tickets for both Reading and its sister site Leeds are still available, as are Friday and Saturday tickets for Reading and all three days for Leeds.

Sunday day tickets for Reading Festival are sold out.

Reading Festival 2012 takes place in Richfield Avenue, Reading on 24-26 August.

Leeds Festival 2012 takes place in Bramham Park, Wetherby, Leeds from 24-26 August

Reading 2012 tickets and Leeds 2012 tickets are priced as follows:

£197.50 + £8 booking fee = £205.50 Weekend camping

£85 + £7 booking fee = £92 Day tickets

£15 early entry
