Hop Farm in Kent is expecting a bright start today as bright skies stay late into the evening for a warm
summers night with temperatures staying above 20°C until late, dropping to a mild 15°C
over night.
Friday will be dry for Peter Gabriel and The New Blood Orchestra with the opening
evening of music but slightly chillier against the rest of the weekend. Temperatures hit a high of 20°C
but winds will be at their strongest of the weekend.
Saturday will see more sun breaking through the cloud cover
but temperatures falling slightly again, to a high of 18°C at midday.
Festival goers can expect
more of the same on Sunday with light cloud cover and plenty of the sun breaking through for a warm final evening for the
closing set from Suede.
Those going up north to the rebirth and resurrection of The Stone Roses and 'the greatest show on
earth' better pack a rain mac as three unsettled days of weather are expected over Heaton Park, Manchester.
Friday is forecast to be mixed with rain falling in the early evening but clearing before the Madchester favourites take to
the stage for their UK comeback.
Saturday will be the worst with prolonged showers throughout
the day and temperatures now reaching any higher than 17°C. Sunday is an improvement with clear skies
until late evening when rain will again spoil the parade.
Conversely the Beat-Hearder Festival in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire has a wet weekend
forecast, with rain through Friday to Monday.
Rain will fall throughout Friday, making for cool
and blustery conditions, which break briefly for the early evening and headline performances. Saturday will
be more unsettled with heavy rain and thunder expected for periods, temperatures stay at a mild 16°C
but stay relative high overnight at 12°C.
Sunday is an improvement with
fewer shower and winds easing by the evening.

Hop Farm 2012 will be held at Hop Farm, Paddock Wood, Kent on 29 June - 1 July.
