Having reunited for Morrissey's Meltdown Festival in London back in June, the
band are set to play a number of other festivals, including Belfast's Vital Festival on 25th August, followed
by the Reading/Leeds Festivals on 28th and 29th August.
The sudden death of bassist Arthur Kane so soon after the reunion led to speculation
as to whether the band would cancel their remaining dates.
However Johansen told the New York Times this week that
the planned dates would go ahead with a replacement bass player, although no decision had been made regarding the long term
future of the reformed band.
Johansen said: "We don't have any long-term plans or anything. We're honouring our commitments, and that's
as far as we have any idea about. We've never had any kind of Maoist five-year plan anyway, nor have I with anything
I've done. Everything I've done I've just fallen into. Most bands are commercial enterprises. But I'm not in one of
those bands."
