Another three for T

Taking into account the millions of pounds generated in revenue, the kudos the event brings to the region, plus
of course the joy brought to thousands of Scottish revellers, Perth and Kinross councillors had no problem in agreeing a new
three-year license for T In The Park, taking it up until 2007.
Festival organiser Geoff Ellis,
of DF Concerts, said: "I think we're the only festival in Britain to be treated this way, but I'm surprised
more councils don't look at it because it makes life easier and more efficient for everyone."
Ellis stressed that
the license is still subject to various conditions but explained it would be easy for the festival to extend it's
capacity, if it wanted, without an updated license being required.
Tickets for next summer's event
are already on sale at 2004 prices - but only until tomorrow when the window shuts again until next year. Organisers
have reminded festival-goers not to let the curse of Friday 13th hit them by missing out!

T In The Park was
originally held at Strathclyde Park in Hamilton, before it relocated to Balado, smack in
the middle of Scotland, in 1997. The event now holds 60,000 people, 40 per cent of who travel from outside Scotland.
This
year's sold-out event featured incredible performances from Muse, Pixies, PJ Harvey,
and Scissor Sisters.
