A message from festival organisers: "Regrettably due to the recent adverse weather conditions Paul Weller at Live Form Jodrell Bank, Cheshire
has been cancelled. After conducting a site survey with an independent health and safety adviser and senior event management
personnel the site has been deemed unfit to accommodate today’s crowds.
The organisers have arranged
for all ticket holders for today’s event to receive a full face value refund for any tickets purchased. Ticket holders
are advised to contact their original point of purchase to arrange a refund."
All enquiries should be sent
to weller@livefromjodrellbank.com. Organisers ask ticket
holders not to contact the Jodrell Bank visitors centre.
Event Director and head of Ear to the Ground Jon Drape
commented “Due to a month’s rainfall in 24 hours across the North West the site is now unfit to accommodate
the show. Despite the best efforts of our site crew and subcontractors overnight the main event arena and car parks we are
unable to deliver the concert safely.”
Paul Weller's released this statement through his website:
"Paul is extremely disappointed not to be able to play the show but the decision was beyond his control."
Graham Coxon and Gomez were amongst the other acts set to perform the Live From
Jodrell Bank event today.
