The Walkmen walk from Reading/Leeds

American rockers The Walkmen have pulled out of their two appearances at the Carling Weekender in Reading and and Leeds later this month.

The band have issued a wholehearted apology to fans and said they hope to return to the UK soon in the future, having played a number of recent dates with The Stills recently.

The Walkmen say they have been forced to cancel their Carling Weekender shows due to 'touring commitments in the US'.

It is unknown as yet whether a replacement band will be booked, or if the bill will just be jiggled to fill the gap.

The Carling Reading/Leeds Festivals take place over the bank holiday weekend, 27th to 29th August. All tickets are now sold-out.
