The ‘We Found Love’ star is set to headline the sold-out final night of the Hyde Park event on Sunday 8 July, but reports earlier today (7 June) claimed that the singer had pulled out of her planned trip to the UK, failing to board her scheduled flight yesterday morning.

A source told The Sun: “She cancelled her trip and all work commitments in the UK at the very last minute, which is very unlike her.

"She has been hitting it hard for months. She smokes, drinks and parties hard on top of work commitments.”

However, a spokesperson for Wireless said: "She (Rihanna) is still scheduled to perform at Barclaycard Wireless Festival."

Rihanna’s additional UK festival appearance, at Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend, is also believed to be unaffected,

In the last few minutes, the singer has taken to Twitter to label reports of illness as "nonsense," insisting: "I'm not sick! I pushed my trip to London back to go spend time with my family! Sorry kiddos."

The singer was also set to appear on Graham Norton's BBC chat show and act as a judge on a Sky TV fashion programme during a 10-week stay in the country. It is these commitments which may fall by the wayside, with her festival appearances set to go ahead as planned.

Deadmau5 and Drake healine the other two days of Barclaycard Wireless Festival 2012, which takes place in Hyde Park, London from 6-8 July.

Calvin Harris, Example, Nicki Minaj, Nero, Professor Green, Jessie J, J.Cole, Rizzle Kicks, Tulisa, Cher Lloyd, Flux Pavillion, Labrinth, Pitbull, D’Banj, Madeon, A$AP Rocky and Wiz Khalifa are among other acts already confirmed to play across the weekend at Wireless.

Wireless Festival tickets for Friday 6 July (Deadmau5 headline day) are priced at £49.50 (plus booking fee), with tickets for Saturday 7 July (Drake headline day) also priced at £49.50 plus booking fee.

Tickets for Sunday 8 July (Rihanna headline day) are now sold out.
