The indie-folk sensations had played the Main Stage immediately before The Boss’ headline set, which closed the festival, which took place in Landgraff in the Netherlands over the weekend, and were invited back up during the encore to help out on one of his signature hits.
Both acts will play a major part in the UK festival summer, with Springsteen set to headline the Isle Of Wight Festival and Hard Rock Calling, while Mumford and Sons, who revealed during their set at Pinkpop that their second album would be released in September, top the bill at RockNess.
The band will also undertake the ‘Gentlemen Of The Road Stopover’, featuring two big festival-scale events in Galway and Huddersfield, plus a short tour.
The Huddersfield show will take place at the city's Greenhead Park on June 2. Support will come from BBC
Sound of 2012 winner Michael
Kiwanuka, Nathaniel
Rateliff, The Correspondents
and Willy Mason.
The second date in Galway, Ireland on June 9 features The Vaccines,
Willy Mason, The Correspondents, Nathaniel
Rateliff and Zulu Winter.
The tour will call at Cardiff St David's Hall (May 30), Folkestone Leas Cliff Pavilion (31), Bury St Edmonds The Apex (June
4), Lowestoft Marina Theatre (5) and Gateshead Sage Theatre (6).
