A spin-off of Hop Farm Festival, the event has been extended to a second day at its parent festival's usual site at Hop Farm Country Park, Paddock Wood, Kent, and will now be held on Sunday 9 September as well as Saturday 8 September.

Cohen will perform an ambitious 3-hour set full of classic songs, as well as new tracks from his latest album, 'Old Ideas'. With room for 10,000 attendees, the event will have a full support bill.

Hop Farm organiser Vince Power said: “The demand has been overwhelming and it’s fantastic to announce the extra date. These will be Leonard Cohen’s only UK dates this year and we’re over the moon he’s decided to play them here. It promises to be a fantastic weekend.”

A Day at the Hop Farm 2012 will be an open-air, all seated event.

Members of Leonard Cohen’s fan club have the opportunity to purchase advance tickets from 9am on Friday 18 May. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 9am on Monday 21 May.

£85 tickets for the Saturday date are still available to buy too, at the time of writing.
