Beautiful Days - WINNING BANDS

It's gonna be a beautiful couple of days...
From an initial entry of over 300 bands we shortlisted 13, and you voted for your favourites
to fill the last two slots on the Beautiful Days line up. When the voting closed we put the top four acts forward for The
Levellers themselves to make the final choice as to who was going to have the chance to complete the bill.
When it came to it
then the decision proved that we really had swept the length of the country to find the best of the best, because the two
winners were Brighton's The Lovegods and Scotland's Poor Old Ben.
This was bad news for Bath's Urusen
and London's Whitestar, but both of the runners up are consolled by the fact that in the people's choice
voting they did exceptionally well against strong competition.
The news that the festival has now sold all of its tickets means that The
Lovegods and Poor Old Ben should be playing to large crowds, despite
being first on the bill on each of the two days of the event (Poor Old Ben
kick off the second stage on Sunday and The Lovegods will be warming
up the festival from the main stage on Saturday).
If you are lucky enough to have a ticket to the event then make sure
that you take the time to check out these two new bands, because you can take it from us that they both intend to put on a
show that you won't forget!
