Straight Lines, Ifan Dafydd, Al Lewis, Sen Segur and Y Bandana are the other newly-confirmed homegrown acts for the festival, which takes place in Abersoch Bay, North Wales from 6 - 8 July.

Organisers have also launched this year’s Wakestock Battle of the Bands competition.

The competition is open to all Welsh acts, and can be entered by sending an application email to

Entries should include a short biography of the band, links to some of your songs and some information about previous gigs. The team at Wakestock HQ will then prepare a short list of finalists and the final decision will be down to Radio Cymru DJ Lisa Gwilym.

A shortlist of ten bands from the entries received will be drawn up, from which the winner will then be selected. The winning band will open the East Stage at the festival on Sunday 8 July.

As previously reported, Dizzee Rascal, Calvin Harris and Ed Sheeran will headline Wakestock this year, with Rizzle Kicks, DJ Fresh, Katy B, Azealia Banks, Flux Pavilion, Doctor P, High Contrast feat. Jessy Allen and Dynamite MC, Youngman, Zane Lowe, Annie Mac and Burns also on the line-up.
