Tupac 'hologram' closes Coachella Festival

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg joined by some very special guests...

Dr. Dre had claimed they were going to bring him "back to life", but as the eerily lifelike hologram took to the stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Sunday night, Tupac Shakur appeared to perform with Dre and Snoop Dogg, despite having been dead since 1996.

Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's line-up of special guests looked like a who's who of hip-hop, as Eminem, 50 Cent and Warren G joined the pair for their Indio, California festival headline show. Wiz Khalifa, as reported by MTV.com, also turned up for a performance of 'Young, Wild and Free'.

But nothing was going to top Tupac, who turned up after his song, 'California Love' was played in tribute to him, appearing to shout: 'What up Coachella?' before performing 'Hail Mary' and 'Ain't Nothin' Like a Gangsta Party'.

Audience members were left wowed, shocked or put off by the event, with Rihanna tweeting: "This turned out to be one of the best nights of my life" while Katy Perry tweeted: "I think I might have cried when I saw Tupac."

So what do you think - weird? Or wonderful?
