Bruce Forsyth to play Hop Farm Festival

Strictly Come Camping for entertainment legend

There have been some pretty exciting festival announcements this year. But you can take all your Roses, Sabbath, Refused, ATDI and The Cure news and shove them to one side. Because this is the line-up addition that blows them all out of the water.

None other than the nation's favourite octogenarian entertainment legend, song and dance man, King of the Catchphrases, and all round National Treasure, (drum roll) the one and only….Sir Bruce Forsyth is set, along with his big band, to play Hop Farm 2012.

The Kent festival organiser, Vince Power said: "I am honoured to have the legend that is Sir Bruce come down and make his debut appearance at the Hop Farm this year. Not only as he never appeared at a festival he’s never been to a festival. He has been in this business for over 70 years and is a true, true legend, he will be the talking point of the festival."

Sir Brucie joins a formidable list of old codgers musical legends at Hop Farm 2012, including Bob Dylan (a UK festival exclusive), Peter Gabriel, Suede and Primal Scream. Also already announced are: Damien Rice, My Morning Jacket, Maximo Park, Patti Smith and Friends, The Stranglers, Joan Armatrading, Billy Ocean, Dr John and the Lower 911 and The Psychedelic Furs.

So will you be playing your cards right and buying tickets? Hop Farm has no booking fee, no parking charge and no camping charge. So if The Price is Right* for you, ticket details are below.

Hop Farm 2012 will be held at Hop Farm, Paddock Wood, Kent on 29th June - 1st July 2012.
