The Long Walk will see Live Nation’s John Probyn and Paul Latham take up the challenge of a five-day, 144-mile walk on 11 June from Donington Park, where Download Festival 2012 will just have taken place, to London’s Hyde Park where the likes of Hard Rock Calling and Wireless will be held.

John Probyn said: “Cancer Research UK is a charity that Live Nation has supported for some time and I wanted to do something personally.  I’m never going to climb a mountain or cycle across the desert, but I’m very good at putting one foot in front of the other.  It’s 144 miles past 73 pubs, what could possibly go wrong?!”

Paul Latham added: “I am forever grateful that my family and I are in reasonable health. However I never take that for granted, nor forget those who are not so lucky. A few blisters, aches and abstention from Guinness for a year is a small price to pay to raise money for the great work Cancer Research UK does... One step at a time!"

The Long Walk begins at 9am on Monday 11 June and all money raised will go to Cancer Research UK.
