The Foo Fighters' appearance at Reading Festival
took place only one month after the release of their eponymous debut album in July 1995. The band had played their first ever
show in California, America in February of the same year and their second stage Reading Festival set went
down in history as huge crowd surges nearly cancelled the show and meant thousands couldn't get to see the band play one of
their first ever UK shows. Dave Grohl had only stopped playing with his former band Nirvana the year previous when Kurt Cobain was found dead in his Seattle home
in April 1994.
