Geoff Ellis, Festival Director for DF Concerts, who organise T In The Park, spoke to
Virtual Festivals yesterday about The Stone Roses historic
TITP show: "It's really exciting, they're probably the biggest band that have ever played T really, you could certainly
say."
On Snow Patrol's return to the festival
Ellis said: "They started out on the TBreak stage at T In The Park
about ten years ago so they've always had a long association with the event.
"With Florence and the Machine
playing prior to them I think it will be a great finish to the Friday night."
Finally Ellis revealed his thoughts on the festival closers Kasabian:
"They're really on fire, their live show is really good. I think with this album they've moved on a stage as a band. When
they last headlined T they had the biggest audience of the weekend.
I was at a football match with Serge
in Italy, a Man City game, and we were having breakfast the next day and he was asking me all about T then. It's great to
hear someone talking about how strongly they feel about the festival. We were delighted we could get them in for the Sunday
night."
