The additions include three of Virtual Festivals' Ones to Watch for 2012: Spector, Howler, and Alt-J, alongside a Ones to Watch for 2011, Dry the River.

We Are The Ocean, Friends, Grimes, Zulu Winter, DZ Deathrays, Nils Frahm, Jamie N Commons, Django Django and Sonic Boom Six also feature on the first list of acts for the festival.

Africa Express Sound System will play a special headline show at one of the largest venues at the festival, the Brighton Dome. Tickets for the dome event will be be priced at an additional £7, on top of the weekend festival ticket price.

The Great Escape will return to the bustling British seaside city of Brighton from 10th-12th May 2012, presenting festival-goers with over 300 new local and international artists across 30 different venues throughout the city.

Super early bird Great Escape 2012 tickets are still available for the festival, priced at £35, with a very limited number still available.

Africa Express Sound System 'top up' tickets for access to their Brighton Dome show cost an additional £7, or can be brought separately to the festival ticket for £18.50.
