The paper claims that the bands are two of the 100 acts “in negotiations” with organisers to join
already-announced headliners The Stone Roses in Balado, Kinross when the festival returns for another year on 8-10 July.
Many
groups have apparently been confirmed already, but are being kept under wraps ahead of the official launch next month.
Snow Patrol and The Maccabees featured in our T
in the Park rumours round-up last week, and having both recently released new albums, a year of touring
and festivals awaits.
Snow Patrol are playing the Scottish leg
of their arena tour at the moment, with the band in Aberdeen tonight.
When asked whether the band were playing
T this year, mainman Gary Lightbody stayed tight-lipped on the subject, saying: “I wouldn’t want to say anything
to dispel or confirm those rumours. You didn’t get it from me.”
Meanwhile, Maccabees singer Orlando
Weeks told The Razz: “In the next couple of weeks, everything gets confirmed. We’ve always had amazing times
at T so it would be really good to come back.”
T in the Park 2012 tickets
will go on sale on Wednesday 29 February at 9am.
