Rumour mill: Happy Mondays for 2012 festival shows?
Original Happy Mondays line-up to reunite

Chris Swindells - 18 January 2012
The Mancunian band formed in the mid-eighties and were leading figures in the 'Madchester' scene alongside The Stone Roses. They disbanded in 1992 but have reunited twice
since then.
A report in The Sun last month claimed a full tour and documentary were being planned, they said:
"Happy Mondays have had offers from film companies, including Film4
and Sky, who want to follow them for the reunion. There will be gigs next summer and a re-release of their classic album 'Pills
'n' Thrills And Bellyaches'. A DVD will also be released of the comeback shows and the documentary."
However
a spokesman for the band had denied the rumours at the time.
Currently there is no news on touring plans or any
festival appearances for 2012 but there is a possibility the band could join their fellow Manchester scene-mates The Stone Roses at T in the Park 2012, and for three outdoor shows in Heaton Park, Manchester
in June.
