Soundgarden return for Download Festival 2012

Radio One DJs Zane Lowe and Daniel P Carter also announced
live on air that Chase and Status will be performing
before The Prodigy's headline set. Biffy Clyro will play one of their only festival shows of the year, and will joined by You Me At Six and Tenacious D for Download Festival 2012 at Donington, Derbyshire from 8-10 June.

You Me At Six will headline the second stage, with
Trivium, Lamb of God, Devin Townsend Project, Devildriver,
Little Angels, Anthrax, Ugly Kid Joe and August Burns Red
joining them on the Download Festival 2012 line
up.
The Seattle grunge giants Soundgarden announced their reunion in 2010 after a twelve year break, they've since played shows in the US and Australia, and have plans to release their sixth studio album in spring of this year.

to warm up for them on the Saturday night of Download
Festival 2012.

(Mon 16) hinted at more acts for the festival,
all of which are expected to be confirmed at midnight tonight on the Radio One Rock Show.
The Prodigy have already been confirmed as the Friday night headliner,
playing their only UK festival show of 2012. They are joined by Metallica
who headline the Saturday and will play their seminal 1991 'black' album in it's entirety. Black country metal
legends Black Sabbath will close the festival after reuniting
their original line up for the first time since 2005.
Download 2012 tickets start at £155 (including £10 booking fee) for an arena-only
(non-camping) ticket.
A three-day camping ticket priced at £180 (including £10 booking
fee) and £190 (including £10 booking fee) for a five-day camping ticket.
