The Cure confirm three festivals for 2012

They'll play Hultsfred, Southside and Hurricane - full details

The band will be joining The Stone Roses at Hultsfred in Sweden, before both head to Germany for the Southside and Hurricane Festivals.

The Cure are expected to announce more festival dates in the coming weeks, though they don’t appear to be in the shake-up for any of the major UK events so far.

They made their last UK festival appearance headlining Bestival last September, earning a 9/10 review from us, with the set subsequently being released as a live album.

Hultsfred Festival 2012 takes place in Hultsfred, Sweden on 14-16 July, with weekend camping tickets priced at 1495 SEK. The likes of The Cardigans, James Blake and M83 will also be playing.

Southside Festival 2012 and Hurricane Festival will run from 22-24 June, taking place at Eichenring, Scheessel and Neuhausen ob Eck near Munich, respectively.

Die Arzte, Blink-182, Justice are among the acts joining both The Cure and The Stone Roses at both sites.

Hurricane Festival tickets are available now, priced at 125EUR, with Southside Festival tickets priced at 131EUR.
