They join Radiohead, who will make their only Spanish appearance of the year at the festival, which will return to Kobetamendi, near Bilbao from 12-14 July.

No other acts have been confirmed for the Bilbao BBK Live line-up, but more names are expected in the coming months.

Past performers include Coldplay, Pearl Jam, Depeche Mode, Jane’s Addiction, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Suede.

Bilbao BBK Live 2012 tickets are on sale now priced at £73 (plus booking fee) for the weekend.

Bilbao BBK Live 2012 is a three day event that takes place on top of a hill surrounded by mountains offering spectacular views over the city of Bilbao.

The privileged location of the festival site, its proximity to the city and beach and a late start of bands, allow festival goers to make the most of this unique event and setting.
