Red Bull Bedroom Jam competition returns

Artists can enter by uploading a video to the Red Bull Bedroom Jam site.

Each week for 15 weeks, the band that tops the ‘Buzz Chart’ will have the Bedroom Jam team come to record a live show from their bedroom, with eight of the 15 chosen by the judging panel to play the Red Bull Bedroom Jam festival tour at this year’s Slam Dunk, Hevy, Download and Sonisphere festivals.

Three of the finalists will be chosen to have a “TV quality” video made for them, with a live final and public vote then deciding the Red Bull Bedroom Jam Champion, who will also win studio time and a slot on a UK tour with a major artist.

Last year’s winners, Page 44, have recently completed a tour with The Blackout and We Are The Ocean.

The judging panel will feature Kerrang! New Music editor Katie P, Rock Sound editor Ben Patashnik, Download Festival organiser Andy Copping and The Agency Group’s Becky Sugden.

To enter, bands must have at least one band member under the age of 22. The first winning band’s bedroom show will be webcast on the Bedroom Jam site on Monday 30 January at 5pm.
