After The Darkness comes fight

| 07 July 2004

It seems the cracks are appearing everywhere at the moment - The Libertines, The Vines, even as recently feared, in Kings Of Leon's drummer Nathan Followill's hand!

Now, The Darkness have indicated they are also suffering the strain from their demanding festival and gig schedule.

In the lead up to their appearances at T In The Park and Oxegen this weekend, Frankie told Radio 1: "There could be some cracks appearing, but without the friction there's no spark. You can't create a spark without friction.

"The thing is you sacrifice, you bite your lip for the common good, the more noble goal, and that's what we're all focused on. So we're all focused on the same objective. Okay yeah, of course there's fights and everything. We get sick to the back teeth of each other."

"We all have our little faults. But that's what creates the band, it's the chemistry, so I think it's a good thing."

The Darkness have been touring almost non-stop this year, mostly in the US, while recording a second album at the same time.

They will also be playing the Carling Weekender Reading and Leeds Festivals in August.
