Beautiful Days: Votes now counted

We asked you which should be the two last bands added to the Beautiful Days Festival lineup, and you let your thumbs do the talking by voting for your favourites. The results are in, and we can soon announce the winners...

After some last minute surges in votes, the final four bands who have been voted into the final selection round for our Beautiful Days competition are as follows (in alphabetical order):-

Lovegods
Poor Old Ben
Urusen
Whitestar

Out of an initial list of some 300+ entrants, we chose 13 acts for you to have the chance to listen to and vote for your favourites, and by using mobile text voting we managed to raise some money for our friends at Strummerville - the Joe Strummer Fondation for New Music at the same time!

It's now down to the festival organisers to pick the two bands whoin their opinion will best fit into the Beautiful Days lineup, so we'll bring you more news on this as soon as we hear.

To the bands who didn't make the cut we would like to say a word of thanks...the competion was tough, and if nothing else we hope that we have done a little something to introduce your music to a new audience!

The festival itself has already sold out of weekend tickets, but day tickets are still available...although you'll have to move fast as they won't be there for long!
