They are the first of a number of high profile music stars to play the railway station this month as part of a ‘Secret
Season’ of the Station Sessions festival.
The performances, in support of the housing and
homeless charity Shelter, will be performed in pop up style in front of St Pancras International’s giant LEGO tree.
Smith and Burrows will be performing material from their new Christmas album ‘Funny Looking Angels’ which
is in stores now.
Support will be provided by Parisian trio, We Were Evergreen.
Station Sessions ‘Secret Season’ will run
for the first four Thursdays of December from 6-7pm on the Lower Concourse of St Pancras International.
The event
is free of charge, but donations will be encouraged with all proceeds going to Shelter.
Speaking about the news,
Tracy Griffin, Director of Fundraising at Shelter, said: “We are thrilled to be benefiting from the Station Sessions,
where so many fantastic musicians are showing their support for Shelter. Every two minutes someone faces the nightmare of
losing their home. All the money raised will go towards ensuring that Shelter can reach more people who need our help to stay
in their homes this Christmas.”
