Austrian festival to take over the rink

Skate at Somerset House runs through the winter period, with an outdoor ice rink at the heart of the grand 18th century venue, which for three nights from 15-17 December will be hosting a Snowbombing party.

Thursday 15 December will be kicked off with Damon Martin (Disco Bloodbath), Ali Love and Ben Pound with a very special guest.

Snowbombing veteran Barry Ashworth from Dub Pistols will be bringing along some of his band Rodney P and Skitz on the Friday night. Sam Watt and his Maxxi Soundsystem with special guest – Santogold resident DJ Martelo will see Saturday out.

Off the ice a covered bar will be available with drinks, and plenty of mulled wine to heat up the party.

Snowbombing skate sessions at Somerset House are priced at £17 and times are:

20.00–21.00, 21.15–22.15, 22.30–23.30

Snowbombing 2012 takes place in Mayrhofen, Austria, from 9-14 April with Snoop Dogg headlining, alongside Fatboy Slim, DJ Shadow, The Vaccines, Example and Zane Lowe.
