Update: No Madonna at Isle of Wight Festival 2012

John Giddings rubbishes Internet rumours

Gossip had already been circulating that the legendary Queen Of Pop will play a Hyde Park show but other Internet sites said she’ll play a festival date as well.

John Giddings tweeted: “Madonna is NOT playing @isleofwightfest next year.”

Earlier this year, he confirmed that neither Coldplay or Red Hot Chili Peppers will play in 2012.

On Monday, Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Team were the first officially confirmed Isle of Wight Festival line-up headliners.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Florence and The Machine and Noel Gallagher are among the other IOW Festival 2012 rumours.

Isle of Wight Festival 2012 tickets go on sale this Friday (25 November) at 9am.
