Organisers announce new dates for music festival

Prices of the tickets are yet to be announced by organisers, but they did confirm that the event will return to Broughton Hall in North Yorkshire from 27-29 July.

Festival chiefs also confirmed that they have a new band booker on their team.

Bev Burton, who has booked acts for a variety of Europe’s festivals including The Hop Farm Music Festival, will be aiming for a number of pop acts on the Saturday of the music festival and folk pop names on the Sunday.

Speaking about the news, Burton said: “I'm very happy to be working with The Magic Loungeabout on the 2012 festival. We are preparing a great line up that will enhance the festival’s uniqueness. The refined unwind will be back next year with a cracking line up.”

Simon Adamson, the festival’s founder, said: "I'm delighted Bev has joined our management team as her insight and experience is amongst the best in the industry. It will truly help us to become the most relevant music festival in the north of England for the post club generation."

The Magic Lounegabout line-up included The Human League, Badly Drawn Boy, New Young Pony Club, Ed Sheeran and many more last summer, along with guests speakers including Howard Marks and Simon Beaufoy.
