In what sounds like an April Fools joke, organisers have
said the move comes after requests from older festival-goers for more luxuries at the Worthy Farm bash.
The
Sun have quoted Melvin Benn, Glastonbury's operations director, as saying: "Older fans are getting
far more demanding and we have to respond.
"That means better toilets and now washing machine facilities.”
It's believed to be a joke taken out of context.
The event is having its traditional a fallow year in 2012
but bands are already throwing their hat in the ring as Glastonbury Festival 2013 rumours.
Florence and The Machine and Kasabian have both expressed interest in playing the Pyramid Stage,
while Radiohead have hinted
at wanting a return following their secret show back in June.
