Tramlines take Best Metropolitan Festival at the Festival Awards

Free Sheffield shindig takes home top prize

Now in it's third year the free city-wide festival was visited by acts as diverse as Ash, Heaven 17, Bad Penny and Ms. Dynamite.

The award was decided by a judging panel made up of journalists and reviewers who have been visiting festivals and scoring them on criteria which have been set by the industry.

Welcoming more than 125,000 visitors the multi-venue festival celebrates Sheffield's wide and influential musical community.
