The Leicester group, who released their fourth studio album ‘Velocirator!’ earlier this year, will receive
support from Chase And Status and Zane Lowe.
A statement from the band reads:
"It's been a hell of a year for us and we can't think of a better way to celebrate New Year's Eve than with our fans, friends
and family by our side. We promise to set the O2 on fire! Bring on 2012!"
The group will already play the
O2 Arena twice as part of their arena tour, which starts later this month.
Kasabian
will also play Big Day Out 2012 festival in Australia and New Zealand in January and February, but no UK
festival dates have been confirmed as yet.
The band performed at Isle of Wight Festival and Rock
Ness Festival in 2011 and are already among the Reading
and Leeds 2012 rumours.
