Big Day Out 2012 tickets on sale now

Dates announced for touring music festival

The Big Day Out 2012 dates for the travelling festival, which visits Auckland, New Zealand before touring around several Australian cities, are as follows:

Friday, 20 January - Smart Stadium, Auckland, New Zealand
Sunday, 22 January – Gold Coast Parklands, Gold Coast, Australia
Thursday, 26 January  - Sydney Showground, Sydney, Australia
Sunday, 29 January - Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne, Australia
Friday, 3 February  - Adelaide Showground, Adelaide, Australia
Sunday, 5 February - Claremont Showground, Perth, Australia

Big Day Out 2012 tickets for the Sydney leg went on sale on Wednesday 12 October, with Gold Coast tickets available from Thursday 13 October.

Tickets for all other shows will be available on Friday 14 October.

A further batch of Big Day Out 2012 tickets will go on sale via the Big Day Out website at 12:01pm in each city’s local time.

Tickets for the Auckland leg are priced at NZ$160 (plus booking fee), with tickets for the Australian dates priced at AU$165 (plus booking fee).

As revealed last week, Kanye West, Soundgarden, Kasabian and My Chemical Romance are among the acts set to play the festival next year.
