Belladrum 2012 tickets on sale Thursday

The event will take place on 3-4 August at the Belladrum Estate in Beauly, Inverness-shire, with the first 250 weekend tickets held at this year’s price of £90.

The remaining tickets will be priced at £95, with child, campervan, and caravan tickets also available.

The majority of tickets for next year will be e-tickets, with only a limited number of hard tickets being made available due to problems with ticket scammers in the lead-up to this year’s festival.

“We will still be issuing some hard tickets for mainly local outlets to sell but these will be very much in the minority this year,” said festival promoter Joe Gibbs.

“It’s a shame that we have to concentrate on e-tickets because it limits the number of outlets we can use, but the dishonesty of a few unscrupulous characters has forced our hand. People should avoid buying off social networks, Gumtree, Ebay etc,” he added.

The festival, which will see in its ninth year in 2012, has sold out for the last three years, with 2011 selling out three months in advance, so organisers are advising fans to be quick to avoid disappointment.

Texas and Deacon Blue headlined this year, with other performers including Ed Sheeran, Frank Turner, Echo & The Bunnymen and Guillemots.

No acts have been confirmed for the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival 2012 line up.
