The Kills - Reading Festival 2011 review
'Feedback and static issues prevent it from being enthralling'

As a duo, The Kills
- Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince - make the sound of a ten-man band. Waves of shoegaze
effect pedals and soulful vocals, alongside gospel backing singers, wash over the Radio 1/NME Tent against a leopard print
lit backdrop.
'Long Time Coming' is excellent as they vibe from each other with slow, raw, dirty blues riffs.
Feedback and static issues prevent it from being enthralling though and lack of crowd interaction makes it feel more like
background music rather than the main event. 'Tape Song' is the set highlight.
