Osbourne's reignite Black Sabbath reunion rumours
Jack and Kelly say they are excited about Ozzy's "New Project"

Fiona Gladstone - 25 August 2011
Kelly Osbourne said during an interview with Artisan News Service that her father, Ozzy
Osbourne, was working on “something very exciting”, but she stated that she was not allowed
to talk about it.
Jack, who was more reluctant to get Sabbath fans hopes up, said: “I
can neither confirm or deny who he is with or where he is.”
This comes as a flicker of hope for
festival lovers, who could be in for a treat with a headline performance from the heavy metal pioneers in summer 2012, if
the band were to reunite.
Speculations over a reformation were triggered last week when the Birmingham Mail suggested Black Sabbath
were back together and writing new material.
It was thought that Tony lommi had revealed
to the newspaper that the original line-up had plans to reform saying: “We’re really looking forward to it
and I think the stuff we’ve been writing is really good, it’s more back to the old original stuff.”
Yet following the excitement raised the Sabbath
guitarist suddenly released a statement denying the rumours from the previous day. Iommi also claimed the conversation
with the Birmingham Mail reporter was off record and had taken place in June.
Despite Iommi’s
rumor rejections, Sonisphere organiser Stuart Galbraith has the band pinned as one of his
line-up targets for summer 2012.
There is also the possibility of Black Sabbath filling the ‘classic rock’
headline slot next summer at Donington Park’s Download Festival 2012.
