However, Blake risked provoking the ire of many festival-goers by making some ill advised comments about the Welsh.
Before launching into 'Unluck', Blake said: "This is my favourite place. Really. It's beautiful. I know we're
in Wales but weirdly couldn't feel more English," to which many fans jokingly booed.
He later tried to atone
for his faux pas, by saying: "Spent that whole song trying to work out how to make up with all the Welsh people I just
offended. But seriously though, it's my favourite festival. I DJ-ed in the Far Out tent last year and watched Laura Marling
play, so it's amazing to be on the same stage as her this year."
Aside from the comments, Blake's set was
a resounding success, with the deep bass from experimental dub-pop tracks such as 'Limit To Your Love' and 'The Wilhelm Scream'
reverberating around Glanusk Park's amphitheatre.
Fan Dan Stewart, 29, said: "I've seen him twice. I really
liked it. Big bassy sound.”
