N-Dubz at V: 'Who wants to come backstage and get drunk?'

With both acts scheduled to start at the same time, The Saturdays had an appreciative crowd in the Arena Tent, playing hits like 'Ego', 'Up' and 'Forever Is Over', though there was plenty of space at the back of the tent, with a lot of their potential audience busy watching N-Dubz's 4 Music Stage performance.

Dappy asked: "Who wants to come backstage and get drunk with us?" before playing 'Best Behaviour', which had the crowd waving their arms from side to side.

Earlier, The Wanted raced through their singles in The Arena Tent, the boy band asking: "who's getting pissed?" before 'Gold Forever' and picking up instruments to cover 'Iris' by The Goo Goo Dolls, wrapping things up with Number Ones 'Glad You Came' and 'All Time Low'.

Good Charlotte played a similar greatest hits set on the 4 Music Stage, with 'Girls And Boys' and 'Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous' getting an airing, while Manic Street Preachers and Ellie Goulding each played on the Main Stage.

Hanson got a big reception in The Arena Tent, playing new songs like 'Shout It Out' amongst old hits like 'Where's The Love?' and 'If Only', with the band obliging chants for 'Mmmbop', playing it second-to-last, and getting one of the biggest crowd reactions of the day so far.

Charlie Simpson opened proceedings, showcasing songs from debut solo album 'Young Pilgrim', with 'Down Down Down', 'Parachutes' and closer 'The Farmer And His Gun' proving popular.

V Festival 2011 is now gearing up for much-anticipated sets from Rihanna and headliner Eminem.
