The instrumental act played a fittingly dramatic set amid a swirling haze of light drizzle, which proved a perfect fallacy
for the event's epic Brecon Beacons location.
The band's set comprised of choice picks from their
recent 'Take Care, Take Care, Take Care' album, as well as a selection of tried and tested songs from their back
catalogue.
Fan James Brittan, of Chepstow said: "They were very atmospheric,
a fitting headliner for such a beautiful festival."
Tim Minchin opened the festival yesterday
with a special Thursday night set of comical
songs, stand up routines and a cover of Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah'.
Green Man Festival 2011 continues this weekend, with Fleet Foxes & Iron and Wine
playing much anticipated headline sets on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
