The band performed material from forthcoming album Velociraptor!, including the TV-theme style title
track and a thunderous 'Days Are Forgotten'.
However it was oldie 'LSF' - dedicated to Elbow - that prompted the best response of the night. A surprise cover
of 'Misirlou' ended with Tom Meighan declaring "Fuck me, wow. Everybody say fuck me!".
After traditional set closer 'Fire', it was evident to all that Kasabian
can devastate a festival more than mere elements.
Elbow
had to put a halt to their set earlier as extreme weather conditions hit FM4 Frequency 2011. When thunderstorms
came on strong the band left stage mid-song returning for a rendition of 'One Day Like This' with frontman Guy
Garvey joking, "You can't pay for lighting effects like these."
