Drawing a huge crowd to the main stage, Example
asked for "sweating, screaming and dancing" and was not disappointed, with pogo-ing fans not letting up from opener
'Skies Don't Lie' onwards.
The singer quipped “that's all the shit ones over with” five songs
in before unleashing his best-known songs, with Skream collaboration 'Shot Yourself In The Foot Again', 'Watch The Sun Come
Up', 'Won't Go Quietly' and new single 'The Longest Time' coming thick and fast.
Giving the crowd a breather with
new song 'Natural Disaster', he then started a massive singalong with his final two songs, 'Kickstarts' and 'Changed The Way
You Kissed Me', saluting the crowd as he left.
A sizeable amount of that crowd then piled into the adjoining Indoor
Stage to see Everything Everything.
Opening with 'Qwerty Finger', the band overcame minor technical problems before 'Final Form' to thrill an enthusiastic crowd,
with singles 'My Kz, Ur Bf' and 'Photoshop Handsome' going down particularly well.
A new, R'n'B-influenced song
was also played.
Earlier on the same stage, Warpaint
played a hypnotic set, with 'Composure' and 'Undertow' the stand-outs.
The Leicester event then geared up for
McFly's headline set.
