Bombay Bicycle Club attract a large crowd at Boardmasters

London band entertain the crowds on the Main Stage

The mixed crowd the band told VF about during an earlier interview are apparent as families of all age ranges sing-a-long word perfect.

James MacColl on guitar is brimming with confidence whilst James Steadman, unfazed, ploughs into opening number ‘Evening/Morning’. The set varies between dark and dry angst tainted tracks with the more mysterious melodies of new album 'A Different Kind Of Fix'.

All members took the frantic screaming in their stride. The melancholic vibe that threads through the set parallels an unconcealed enthusiasm in performance and occasional engagement with the audience who sing-a-long, undeterred by the persistent drizzle that has started up.

The end of the set sees many of the men begin to seek cover leaving an almost all-female crowd to sing along to final song.
 
Elsewhere, massive queues formed in the rain as The Skints threw a party over in the Relentless tent. The packed out tent roared with applause when asked who had seen them live before.
