Bring Glastonbury live to your phone

Photographer:Andrew Future
Having successfully launched our ground-breaking new service at last month's Download festival,
Virtual Festivals is proud to be back, offering unique as-they-happen stage photos from just one pound
each - only through this very website. Whether the service will feature EMI's biggest star at Glastonbury this year - Mr Paul McCartney - remains
to be seen.
Our photographers will be readily positioned front-row at
all the main stages at Glastonbury, to take some of the best shots of the hundreds of bands
and artists playing over the weekend.
Images will be uploaded onto the site as they are taken, meaning visitors will be
able to download them to their phones, as well as order prints, while the band are still playing their set - slight consolation for
those not lucky enough to get a ticket.
Elsewhere, label giant EMI has announced that it is to make
recordings of its artists' performances at Glastonbury, which will be available to download via the
Guardian's website.
Fans will be able to visit http://www.guardian.co.uk/glastonburydownload
and access classic tracks, plus recordings to be made this weekend of the likes of The Bees, Starsailor,
and the Chemical Brothers.
Adam Freeman, Guardian Unlimited's head of commercial development, said:
"This is a media first for us. EMI has a fantastic range of artists and is constantly looking for creative ways to share its
music. This collaboration will bring great music to the massive audience of Guardian Unlimited music fans in an innovative,
cost-effective way."
Glastonbury 2004 takes place this weekend, 25th-27th June, at Worthy Farm,
Pilton, Somerset.
A huge crew of VF reporters, photographers, and writers will be on site to provide coverage
of all the best moments from Wednesday.
