It’s lucky that Sonic Boom Six have grimy ska-rap in abundance to soothe expectant skankers, pounding out ’The Concrete We're Trapped Within (It's Yours)’ before once again falling short of expectations with some (true, unavoidable) technical difficulties.
"We’re just gonna take a minute to sort it all out before we continue," squeaks Laila, accompanied by familiar groans from the crowd - this isn’t the first time today Hevy 2011 has been plagued by faulty microphones.
Despite the screw-ups, the quintet manage to hold it all together, blaring ‘Meanwhile Back in The Real World’ before new song ‘Virus’; gritty, dirty and instigating a dance involving wild windmilling of body parts is all you need to end a (mildly) successful set at Hevy.
